Free daily puzzles
Sudoku, word search, secret word and more free online puzzle games
A brand-new challenge every day at midnight, in 5 difficulty levels. Play right now, no sign-up, and browse the history whenever you like.
How PuzzleDay works
PuzzleDay brings together the classic puzzles you already know — sudoku, word search, codeword crosswords, secret word — alongside more modern logic puzzles like Tango and Queens, all in one place and completely free. Every day at midnight, a brand-new puzzle is automatically generated for each daily category, and that challenge stays available for the next 24 hours. Once the day ends, the puzzle moves into the history, where you can pull it back up and play it as many times as you like.
Every daily puzzle has 5 difficulty levels — easy, medium, hard, expert and extreme — and each level is a genuinely different puzzle, so you can clear all five in a single day without repeating a single challenge. Your progress is saved right in your own browser: levels you've already played show up in green, and the ones you haven't tried yet stay grey.
Puzzles that change every day
- Sudoku: fill the 9×9 grid without repeating a number in any row, column or box.
- Killer Sudoku: sudoku with no starting clues, where shaded regions must add up to an exact total.
- Word search: find every word hidden in the grid, in any direction.
- Secret word: guess the hidden word letter by letter, classic guessing-game style.
- Tango: balance suns and moons while respecting the equal/different clues.
- Queens: place one queen per row, column and colour region so that none of them touch.
- Letter Grid: with a handful of letters, form as many valid words as you can.
Puzzles you can play without limits
Besides the daily challenges, PuzzleDay includes three classic games that don't depend on the calendar: solitaire, memory match and minesweeper. These are randomly generated fresh every time you hit "play", so you can jump into a quick round whenever you feel like it.
Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to play on PuzzleDay?
Nothing. Every puzzle is free, with no sign-up and no limit on how many times you play.
How often do the puzzles change?
A brand-new challenge is generated at midnight for every daily puzzle (sudoku, word search, secret word, tango, queens, killer sudoku and the letter grid), available for 24 hours.
Can I play previous days' puzzles?
Yes. The "History" section lets you access every past day's puzzles and play them as many times as you like, at any of their 5 difficulty levels.
Do I need to create an account to play?
No. PuzzleDay works with no sign-up: you can start playing the moment you land on the page. Your progress (which levels you've completed) is saved only in your own browser.
What's the difference between the 5 difficulty levels?
Each level — easy, medium, hard, expert and extreme — is a genuinely different puzzle with increasing difficulty: fewer clues, bigger grids, or stricter rules depending on the game. You can play all five in the same day.
Why don't solitaire, memory match and minesweeper have a history?
They're free-play puzzles: instead of one fixed challenge for the whole day, a fresh random round is generated every time you hit "play" — built for a quick game without waiting for the next day.
Can I play on mobile?
Yes, PuzzleDay is optimized equally for mobile, tablet and desktop screens.
